Conducted through Country Dream Farms www.adirondacksleighrides.com with beautiful Belgium draft horses and authentic Adirondack sleighs on lantern filled trails in the window of NYS’s only wilderness canoe region.
Two (2) types of sleigh rides are offered:
- Fun, Group Sleigh ride that seats 8-12 through our wooded trails with a view of pristine Lake Clear…where Einstein relaxed. Approximate 30 minute ride with complimentary hot chocolate! $35 per person with children under 12 at $10 per person.
- Romantic Private Sleigh ride for 2 on a beautiful Adirondack Cutter sleigh that seats 2 with warm blankets and jingling bells! Approximate 45 minute ride, 175 for 2.

Sample, explore and taste! Re-live the Adirondacks of yesteryear with an authentic sleigh ride with lantern-lit trails and then immerse yourself in Great Camp style culinary treat where you can explore our 1886 Lodge! Begin in the Fireside Rathskeller with the Adirondacks only hand-crafted Wine & Bier Keller where the Winterfest menu of 8-12 main entrée choices is personally explained to you by proprietor Ernest Hohmeyer. Meander to the 1886 hand-hued dining room where a 3-course immersion awaits you of a hand-stocked soup to warm your soul, a Winterfest salad like no other and a main entrée fare with family style vegetables and a special Chef’s accompaninment with each plate such as stone ground spatzle, hand rolled dumplings and other delectables. Our seasonal menu celebrating Winterfest changes nightly and typically includes a fresh vegitarian entrée, wild caught fish and slow cooked roasts. A sample offering may include Vegitarian Strudel, wild caught Pike Rosti, Lodge smoked Cornish Game Hen, Adirondack Grass-fed Hunter’s Stroganoff, and Ernst’s Roast Pork Loin. Children under 12 may eat ½ priced. Our special package Sleigh ride and Great Camp style dinner, is 75 with a special children under 12 rate of 30. As we seat only 50 guests nightly, reservations are required and then your table is yours for the evening! Add to your experience by sharing our special Winterfest appetizers in the coziness of our Fireside Rathskeller and sample our unique Wine & Bier Tasting before dinner as described below!!!

- Winterfest appetizer samplers in the Fireside Rathskeller! Share samplers for a romantic 2 or a group of friends and family. Our seasonal Winterfest appetizer menu changes often as we focus on a “100 Mile” local Adirondack flair with an Old World twist. Each sampler contains 3 appetizer tastings – a trio of fun! A taste of what may await you: An Adirondack Smoke House Sampler (we have our own smoker!) of Smoked Salmon Potato Pancakes, Adirondack Game Brats in Old World Smoked Bier, and smoked Adirondack cheese, or a Great Camp Dipping Shooter Sampler of Adirondack Grass-fed Beef Cornhusks with a spicy tomato dipping sauce and Wild Caught Pike Poppers with Horseradish Mayo! Price ala carte.
- Add to the fun with a Bier & Wine Tasting from the Adriondacks only hand-crafted Wine & Bier Keller with over 250 specialty beers from all over the world and over 350 boutique wines. $15 per person with minimum 2 guests
- Sample one of Chef Cathy Hohmeyer’s homemade desserts where the choices vary nightly. Sample nightly desserts may include Chocolate Canoes, Marzipan, Mountain Berry Pie, Belguim Fruit Beer Parfaits, German Chocolate Cakes and Adirondack Artisional Cheeses. $8.95 per person

[Winterfest Experiences]
Eat like the 19th C Adirondack pioneers! Each evening Chef Cathy Hohmeyer selects one of her favorite dishes and serves it with her nightly soup, garnishes and a home-made dessert. The pioneer dinner selection changes nightly and a typical offering may include a fresh stock soup and one main entrée choice such as our famous Chicken Schnitzel or Adirondack Farm Stew or Lodge Smoked Brats with Adirondack Potato Salad. Pioneer Munch and Sleigh Expereince $60 with children under 12 at $30. Guest minimums and date restrictions apply. Reservations required.
